About Us
United Support for Science and Mathematical Project...
United Support for Science and Mathematics Project is the operational name of the United Support for Science and Mathematics Initiative registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria as a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting science and mathematics education.
We eradicate the negative perception and mindset about Mathematics, thereby triggering better performance amongst students. We inspire and engage young minds (ages 5 to 18) through Mathematics Awards, Mathematics Competitions, mentorship programs, STEM initiatives, and fostering innovation thinking.
More so, we lead the pace in creating new excitements for Mathematics and other related subjects amongst young learners in Basic and Secondary schools. We are committed to raising a new breed of innovators and young scientists across Africa and the world.
With a vision timeline that spans between 2020 to 2050, the United Support for Science and Mathematics Project is empowered to dictate and birth new innovators and scientists in the 21st Century.
Achievements
We have recognized, awarded and celebrated over twenty thousand pupils/students as Mathematics/Innovators’ Ambassadors in over two thousand schools (Primary and Secondary) in selected states in Nigeria: Rivers, Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Delta, Nassarawa etc. including the FCT.
We have also awarded thousands of Mathematics Teachers and Directors of Schools as Educational Icon across states in Nigeria.
We have also organized the first ever ICT Skill Acquisition workshop and training for school children in selected states with over three thousand children in attendance.
We also developed the first ever Mathematics Dictionary and Innovation Handbook for Basic and Secondary Schools. This has helped to simplify the complex mathematical terminologies among school children.
